Professional Nail Buffer (Grit 100/180) – Nail Bed Preparation and Finishing File
Achieving a flawless, “glass” looking technical manicure depends on the quality of the finish. The Professional Double Grit Buffer (100/180) is the indispensable tool in any technician’s kit, designed to smooth out imperfections, remove scratches left by hard files and prepare the nail surface for maximum product adhesion.
Thanks to its flexible sponge core, this buffer absorbs pressure, protecting the sensitive cuticle area.
Technical Specifications & Product Architecture:
Dual Grit System (Grit 100/180): * 100 Side (Medium-Hard Abrasivity): Ideal
for finishing and leveling technical material (builder gel, polygel, acrylic) after filing the shape. Effectively removes deep scratches left by an 80 or 100 file.
180 Side (Fine Abrasivity): Perfect for delicately matting the natural nail before
applying the base, as well as for the final finishing of the gel before applying the Top
Coat.
Flexible Core (Sponge Core): Unlike a classic rigid file, the spongy structure of the
buffer allows for perfect molding to the natural curvature of the nail (apex) and penetration into
hard-to-reach areas in the periungual grooves.
Preventing Micro-Cracks: Correct leveling with the buffer closes the porosity of the technical material, preventing the appearance of micro-cracks or air bubbles under the Top Coat layer.
Key Benefits:
Maximum Adhesion (Anti-Lifting): Creates perfect micro-striations on the natural nail so that the base (Rubber Base/Gel) can mechanically anchor, preventing the material from peeling.
Flawless Surface: Eliminates unevenness, ensuring a perfect and continuous reflection of light on the surface of the finished nail (the perfect brick).
Increased Safety: Soft edges prevent cutting or irritating the cuticle during rapid filing movements.
Directions for Use & Pro Tip:
Use the 180 side with light movements, in one direction, on the natural nail, just enough to remove the gloss (lipid layer). Use both sides in succession on the false nail
to refine the architecture.
The Anti-Lifting Secret (Proper Preparation): The most common mistake beginners make is
using a hard file on the natural nail, which thins the nail plate. To
prepare the natural nail, use EXCLUSIVELY the 180 side of the buffer. This is
abrasive enough to open the nail scales and ensure material retention, but
gentle enough to preserve the integrity and thickness of the natural nail in the long term.
