Liquid Polybase – Semi-permanent Rigid Base for Extensions and Modeling (Medium Viscosity) Tpo Free Liquid Polybase is a semi-permanent nail polish with glitter particles for building with an extremely strong structure and low flexibility (rigid). Due to its medium viscosity and post-polymerization hardness, it behaves similarly to a building gel, allowing the creation of small and medium extensions on the template, as well as the formation of the apex. Being a rigid base, it perfectly supports filing for finishing the architecture, being the ideal solution for strengthening very fragile natural nails. Broken nails at the corners / Need for extensions: Unlike classic rubber bases (which are too elastic to support an extension), Polybase has the rigidity necessary to extend the nail on the template (small/medium extensions), saving the manicure without switching to the classic gel system. Thin, bendable natural nails (Paper): Its low flexibility provides a hard "shield" over the natural nail, preventing it from bending and breaking under mechanical shocks. Difficult filing of gummed bases: Thanks to its strong polymer structure, Polybase does not load the cutter and allows precise filing, just like a hard gel, being perfect for correcting the architecture. Lifting on hard materials: Following the correct adhesion protocol (with a flexible base underneath), it prevents any form of detachment at the cuticle level. Features: Medium Viscosity: Leveling is controlled. It does not flow into folds, giving the technician the time needed to shape the apex or extension on the template. Hybrid Product (Strong Structure): Combines the speed of application in the bottle (specific to semi-permanent nails) with the durability and resistance of the builder gel. Excellent Pigmentation: Formulated with high-quality cosmetic pigments, it evens out the nail bed and covers imperfections in a single layer of modeling. How to Use Since Liquid Polybase is a hard/rigid material, it needs a “shock absorber” between it and the natural nail to prevent lifting. Mechanical Preparation: Finely buff the nail and remove dust. Chemical Preparation: Apply Nail Prep (dehydrator) and Bonder (acid-free primer). Let it air dry. Adhesion Layer (Critical Step): Apply a transparent base coat (we recommend Liquid Base or Rubber Base clear), brushed very thinly and massaged into the nail plate. Polymerize completely. Modeling / Extension: Mount the template (if applicable) and perform the extension or build the apex using Liquid Polybase. Finishing: Due to its structure, the material can be degreased and filed to achieve the perfect shape. Because Polybase creates a very tight polymer network (to provide that strong structure), it releases heat upon curing (heat spike), especially when applied in the apex layer. Use the Low Heat Mode of the lamp (if available) or instruct the client to remove their hand from the lamp at the first signs of heating for 3-5 seconds, then reinsert their hand.
